Sara Tonini

Sara Tonini is a PODER fellow at the School of Economics at the University of Cape Town, SA and a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Trento, Italy. Her research work at the University of Cape Town will focus on policies to facilitate access to credit. 

Sara's main research interests are in the area of development economics, social capital, and cultural economics. Her previous working experiences, both at the Italian Cooperation Unit in Nairobi, Kenya and at IRVAPP-FBK in Trento, Italy, allowed her to deepen her knowledge and understanding of Monitoring & Evaluation tools, methods and approaches. In addition, she visited CEPAL (UN-ECLAC), in Santiago, Chile and IZA, in Bonn, Germany as a guest Ph.D. student.
