Zlata is a PhD candidate in Economics at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a PODER fellow at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, working on the project “The importance of incentives in the private and public health sector in developing countries”. She was previously a development economics researcher –currently a fellow– at the Amsterdam Institute for International Development (AIID), where she gained ample research and field experience. Her PhD thesis draws on her research at AIID. Originally from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, she has lived in the Netherlands for most of her life.
