Sara Tonini

Senne Vandevelde

Senne Vandevelde is a PhD candidate at the KU Leuven in Belgium and a PODER fellow at the Paris School of Economics, where he is working on the long-term evidence of early childhood interventions in Latin America together with Karen Macours. His research interests lie in the field of development economics in general and agricultural value chains and the political economy of the global food system more specifically. Senne holds Master’s degrees from KU Leuven and from King’s College London and has also spent some time at the University of Pennsylvania as part of an exchange program.

Sofia Trommlerova

Sofia was a PODER Early Stage Researcher at Bocconi University in Milan, Italy. Her work encompassed applied micro econometrics with a particular focus on child health, gender issues, and human development in developing countries.

Tetyana Surotseva

Yiyang Luo

Yiyang is a PhD student at the Department of Economics at Essex and currently visiting University of Namur as a PODER fellow. Her main research fields are development economcis, labour economics and family economics. Her PODER projects focus on institution, inequality measurement and economic development, under Guilhem Cassan and Jean-Marie Baland.

Zlata Tanović

Zlata is a PhD candidate in Economics at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a PODER fellow at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, working on the project “The importance of incentives in the private and public health sector in developing countries”. She was previously a development economics researcher –currently a fellow– at the Amsterdam Institute for International Development (AIID), where she gained ample research and field experience. Her PhD thesis draws on her research at AIID. Originally from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, she has lived in the Netherlands for most of her life.
