Lukas Kliene-Rueschkamp

Lukas is a PhD student in the Departments of Economics at the University of Oxford and a PODER fellow at Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Prior to his doctoral studies, Lukas studied at the University of Bonn, spent a year at UC Berkeley as a Fulbright scholar, and completed the MPhil in Economics at Oxford. Lukas’ general research interests lie in the intersection between political economy and development economics, with a particular focus on democratisation processes, political institutions and inequality, as well as political competition. As PODER fellow, Lukas pursued research on the economics of voting in Latin America, working with Gianmarco Leon on analysing the economic effects of political accountability. Click the research summary link below for more information on Lukas' research and papers.
