Jared Gars is a PhD candidate in Applied Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and currently visiting Universitat Pompeu Fabra (since May 2016) as a PODER research fellow. He completed his undergraduate degree in Economics at the University of Florida and a Masters in Applied Economics at Purdue University. He has worked as a consultant for the International Food Policy Research Institute on the topics of learning, confidence, and technology adoption in Bihar, India. His main research fields are Development Economics, Behavioral Economics, and Industrial Organization.
