Node:
Bocconi University

Christopher Roth is a PhD student at the Department of Economics at Oxford and was a PODER fellow at Bocconi. His research interests are centered at the intersection of development economics and psychology. Chris has conducted experimental work in Kenya in collaboration with the Busara Center for Behavioral Economics. Moreover, he collaborates with the "National Team for the Acceleration of Poverty Reduction (TN2PK)" in Jakarta to evaluate targeting policies and the effects of the Indonesian conditional cash transfer program (PKH).

During his fellowship, under the supervision of Diego Ubfal, Chris has done preparatory empirical work on entrepreneurship in developing countries in order to set up randomized evaluations of training programmes for entrepreneurs. They have also worked on a joint project (with Alex Grigorieff) that studies the effect of providing information about immigrants on people’s attitudes. Click on the research summary links below for more information on Chris' research and papers.

PODER Appointment: October 2015 - Aug 2016.
